Hello my name is Kateryna, I am from the Ukraine, I first visited Svalbard in the 90s, when I fell in love with the place. I have lived the last 9 years in Longyearbyen. Svalbard archipelago never ceases to amaze and inspire, I am happy to share my photography with you, to share the striking beauty of life in Svalbard.
Svalbard is a vast land of contrast and wilderness, where untouched beauty meets danger; where limitless white gives way to browns and greens, beneath pink skies and red sunsets. It is a place where the sun does not set in summer and does not rise in winter.

Almost overnight the birds land back on the Spitsbergen shore, the silence of winter is shattered by the squark of the new hatchlings. Above a Northern Fulmar flies by a local fishing boat.
Below the roaring pink and purple sky over the plateau, this is a usual scene as the sun comes back in February.
